Est. 1987 — Florence, Italy
Our Story
"We believe the things you carry every day should be worth carrying."
PELLE DI LUSSO was born in a small workshop in Florence in 1987. Our founder Marco Castellini, trained under three generations of master saddlers, set out to create leather goods that combined Old World craftsmanship with modern, functional design.
Nearly four decades later, every piece we make is still hand-stitched, hand-finished, and built to be passed down. We don't chase trends. We make things that get better with time.
How we make it
Our Craftsmanship
Full-Grain Leather
We use only the highest grade of leather — full-grain — sourced from heritage tanneries in Italy and England. It's the most durable, most beautiful, and develops the richest patina over time.
Hand Stitching
Every seam is stitched by hand using waxed linen thread and a two-needle saddle-stitch technique — the same method used by European saddlers for centuries. Stronger and more repairable than machine stitching.
Edge Finishing
We hand-bevel, sand, and burnish every edge using multiple layers of gum tragacanth. The result is a smooth, sealed edge that protects the leather and signals true craftsmanship.
Our commitment
Ethically Made
We work exclusively with tanneries that meet strict environmental and labor standards. Our leather is vegetable-tanned using traditional methods that are gentler on the environment and produce leather of unparalleled quality.
